Game Release Calendar (U)

You will only need to do these instructions once. Your computer will then pull down the updated calendar files whenever they are updated.

Here are the instructions :
(I am currently using Mozilla Sunbird v0.9.)

When you first download and install Sunbird it will look something like this :

To "subscribe" to the calendars click FILE -> SUBSCRIBE TO REMOTE CALENDAR

Choose ON THE NETWORK

Make sure it is on ICS format, and then you need to enter the URL for ONE calendar.
You will need to repeat the steps for each calendar.

Code: Select all
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/360.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/wii.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/psp.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/pc.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/ps3.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/nds.ics

Choose a color and name for the new calendar:

When one is added it will look something like this:

You can remove the bars and such (just drag it up or off to the side...).
Once you have them all added it might look something like this:

And here is a guide for Outlook 2007 for those of us who like quality software. (Should work in 2003 as well)

Here are teh !in57ruc7!0n5
(I am currently using Microsoft Outlook 2007 - No particular version or RC1 or fancy shit)

When you first start up Outlook and click the Calendar tab on the side, it will look something like this:
Image

To "subscribe" to the calendars click TOOLS -> ACCOUNT SETTINGS...
Image

Click the INTARWEB CALENDARS tab and click NEW...
Image

Type the address(only one) blindly into the field and click ADD.

That was actually hand-drawn in The GIMP you buttmonkey. :D [-C4]

Code: Select all
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/360.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/wii.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/psp.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/pc.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/ps3.ics
http://www.hwhq.com/releases/nds.ics

Do not choose a color and a name for the new calendar and do not collect $1000 when passing start. (Keep the names short)

Read the image, bitch!

You have now added one calendar. I congratulate you!
*1 Click the arrow if your new calendar isn't showing.
*2 Tick the box in front of your calendar's name if it isn't showing.
*3 Choose the awesomest view.
Image

And this is what it might look like when you are finished.
*1 Pick your destiny. (Or the weeks you'd like to view)
*2 Click the small arrows to gather all the calendars into one
*3 look at the location and the pretty name Outlook wanted to give my ps3 calendar -_-

Google Calendar

Postby WarlordFDC » Thu Oct 30, 2008 10:07 am

Any chance you guys can change robots.txt so I can add the calendars to Google Calendar?

BTW, new to the forum, but have been enjoying the podcast for at least a year. Keep up the great work.

And I will get my revenge C4. The TwinAxes will not save you :P.

How-To on OSX

Postby that_guy » Tue Jul 14, 2009 9:54 pm

First, fire up iCal.

Then, go "Calendar > Subscribe"

Then pop in the relevant URL
Image

Fill out the form to your liking, and set it to update once a week so it stays up-to-date.

Enjoy!

I just switched to Thunderbird and with the Lightning plugin, it's the same as C4's Sunbird setup except "File > Subscribe to Remote Calendar..." is "File > New > Calendar..."
